Growing up we had certain flowers occasionally switching up once in a while to add something my mom remembered from her childhood, saw in a magazine or someone's yard. Daylilies were never one of them. Funny there are a few flowers I've come to really love and appreciate that my folks almost seemed to refuse to have in their yard, I didn't even know some existed and some were openly disdained. Any way, when Dirt and I moved to the farm twenty-six years ago was my first up close and person intro to daylilies. I fell in love immediately, moved them to a protected garden area (they were in the way of some intended logging and construction) Funny, they turned out to be plain ol' orange daylilies, the ones I now see that the highway department uses for bank stablization. But now I've added a few more lovelies to my garden in other areas. Long way to say... I have a new one very similiar in coloring to this one in your picture. By the way, I'm going to my friends pawn shop today, hope to find an inexpensive little camera, we'll see.
