Over the last couple of months the electricity company have slowly, very slowly, been changing our electricity supply over from overhead cables to underground. The last two poles were on the boundary of our garden, right next to our greenhouse, so, when they removed them on Friday I decided to watch!
Here they've already removed the one at the bottom of the garden and they are now passing it by the one by our greenhouse!!
Very good job very professionally done.
Now the last pole has been chained up ready to be pulled out of the ground once the man is clear of the ladder.

No more poles and cables criss-crossing over our property. We can look up at the sky unhindered by cables. The garden seems bigger all of a sudden, and I must say the view has certainly improved. More of that though in later posts.

Going underground, eh? We have underground wires at home. We seldom lose electricity when there are bad storms. And it looks so much nicer.
More light to your tomato plants too. If only they could put other cables underground too, make taking photos easier too.
