Headbanger Challenge 25th May 2011 – Pink

This weeks challenge is Pink, which for me was quite fortunate as our pink roses are just coming into bloom in our back garden…

pink rose-1

complete in this photograph you can see its own little bug just crawling out from inside the rose.

My dad likes to try his hand at photography too and as you can see from the above picture which is his, he’s got a good eye and takes a good photo.

There’s a profusion of pink in this photo for you to feast your eyes on, a real wow of a plant [another of my dads photos].

The photo I’ve chosen to use for my header is of the roses in our back garden some fully open and some just starting to open from bud. Let me know what you think.

Remember to drop in on the other headbangers to see their Pink themed headers, just follow their links at the top of my right hand menu bar.

I loved seeing the tiny legs beginning to emerge. Do you think he was shy about getting his picture taken? I like this one best, but your dad comes in a close second with the gorgeous pink flower. superb.

Lovely captures indeed. The first one is my favorite. By the way your father has good eye for photography.

It's like being in a pink garden centre. Just need Charlie Dimmock now.

I can't get past the 1st one...it has "Kiss my ass" all over it.

My Critter blog this week is a photo of a laughing gull, AND I added a touching dog video -1.5 minutes long- of a dog that was blown away in a tornado only to CRAWL home 2 weeks later. It's a must see...the stamina and determination of animals.

Have a great weekend.

Here's my link to Camera Critters.

The world is pretty in pink that is for sure! My folks' yard was full of pink when I was a child, rhododendrons and azaleas and when I took off my glasses the yard looked like a giant pile of strawberries and cream!
